iPad Technical Support - Syncing iPad with iTunes

We can sync the iPad with our computer using two methods :-


  1. Using USB cable
  2. Using Wi-Fi
Make sure you have latest version of iTunes software installed in the computer.

Sync iPad using USB
  • Double click on iTunes software and open the iTunes.
  • Connenct the iPad to your computer using the USB cable. iPad will now show up in iTunes under the devices at left had side.
  • When you click on the iPad under devices, righ-hand side show up few information like, Summar,Info,Apps,Ringtones,Music,Movies etc.
  • Click on Summary.
  • Click Apply in the lower right corner of the iTunes screen. This will start syncing the iPad with iTunes.
Sync iPad using Wi-Fi
  • Double click on iTunes software and open the iTunes.
  • Before syncing the iPad with Wi-Fi, make sure the Wi-Fi sync option is enabled in iTunes.
  • To enable this option, Connect iPad using USB cable.Click on the iPad under devices in iTunes. Under the summary tab, there is an option called "Sync with this iPad over Wi-Fi". Check mark this option and apple.
  • Now whenever you want to sync the iPad with iTunes through Wi-Fi, make sure the iPad and the computer are on same Wi-Fi network and iTunes is open in the computer.
  • So whenever the computer and the iPad are on same Wi-Fi network, iPad will appear up in iTunes and syncing will start by clicking the apply option under the summary tab.

This new AP.3 sleeve will hold the iPad and also provide protection. This has a built in powerful magnet attached to it with the help of which you can attach the iPad to wall station or base station. This magnet can grip any metal surface. This seems to be a very cool gadget for the ipads.

iPad Technical Support - Restore iPad

If you find the need to restore iPad, which for sure will erase all the data within the iPad, follow the steps below :-

Before restoring the iPad, it is recommended that you backup the data using iTunes to your computer and after the restore activity, you can import back data to the iPad.
  • Get latest iTunes software from here
  • Connect the iPad to your computer.
  • in iTunes, on left hand side, under the DEVICES, you will find your iPad detected.
  • Click on the iPad under Devices.
  • Now on right side, you see a Summary Tab and under the summary tab, there is a RESTORE button.
  • Click on restore and then follow the onscreen instructions to Restore your ipad to the default factory setings.

iPad Technical Support - iPad frozen or not responding - Reset the iPad

At times, your iPad will not respond or you may call it as frozen iPad. Follow the steps below to get your iPad back to normal functioning :-
  • Try restarting the iPad. Follow steps here
  • If restarting does not help, Press and hold the Sleep-Wake button and the Home button together for few seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

iPad Technical Support - Restarting an iPad

Here's how you can restart your iPad :-
  • Identify the sleep wake button in your iPad(It  is the one on the top right corner of the iPad)
  • Press and hold the sleep wake button for few seconds. A red "Slide to Power Off" slider will appear.
  • Slide the Slider.
  • Press and hold the Sleep Wake button untill apple logo appears in the screen.
  • Restting iPad will not delete any data from your iPad.

Apple recognises which Samsung products it will try to ban in US

Last Friday was a victory day for Apple as it witnessed a huge Jury victory over Samsung. According to reports from theverge.com, Apple has now released list of Samsung models its alleging infringement. Find the list of those Samsung models below :-

  • Galaxy S2 (Skyrocket)
  • Galaxy S2 (T-Mobile)

All the Samsung S2 models are look alike of Apple's iPhone and has taken the bang of all the blames.

iPad Mini to be launched in October : Report

Apple will launch its new iPad mini, the smaller version of 10 inch widly popular iPad, in october this year.

This launch is expected to be after the launch of the iPhone next generation that is expected to be in September.

New iPad mini is assumed to have less than 8 inches display. The iPad with 10-inch was dominating the tablet PC market for a long time and the introduction of this all new iPad mini is going to bring a dimensions to the Tablet PC market.

iPad Technical Support - Troubleshoot Wi-Fi problems

Many a times, while connecting to Wi-Fi using IPAD will result in a connection success, but will not be able to access the internet. This can be troubleshooted by following below steps :-

  1. Click SETTINGS > Wi-Fi. Turn Wi-Fi OFF and then turn ON again.
  2. Make sure you are in the range of Wi-Fi router.
  3. Check if other devices are able to connect to the same Wi-Fi network and access the internet.
  4. Make sure that the Wi-Fi settings are correct by tapping Settings > Wi-Fi and then click on the correct Wi-Fi network.
  5. If the network settings are correct, then Tap on 'Forget this Network'. This will reset settings for this network including the password. Try connecting to the network again.
  6. You can also reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will be resetting all network settings and passwords.

IPAD can conenct ti WiFi connections if available. To locate a WIFi connection, Click on SETTINGS, then Wi-Fi. You will see list of networks, Tap a network to connect to it. Now depending on a WiFi service provider, you may or may not have to enter password.

When you are conencted to a WiFi network successfully, you can see a WiFi icon in the status bar. Amigos, we are now connected to internet using IPAD Wi-FI.

Apple scores big win against Samsung in patent war

Finally the verdict came out for the Apple vs Samsung patent war. The jury ruled the verdict in favor of Apple.The jury found that Samsung has willingly infringed on Apple's patents, and Samsung will now have to pay over $1 billion as damages to Apple.

Apple is very much thrilled after this verdict and at the same time for Samsung they do not view this verdict as a win for Apple , but loss for the customers because this has led to fewer choices, less innovation and higher prices.

Apple deletes its Genius ad from YouTube and Apple.Com

Apple shuts down the Genius ad campaingn from Youtube and its official website. Apple's genius TV ads was aired few weeks back. These ads were stopped airing on TV and the company has deleted them from their official YouTube channel and their official website.

Rumours are being spread on why apple decided to delete these ads from all sources, may be apple is so embarrassed by the reaction received to these ads by the public. Whatever buzz thats going on around these ads, the fact is these ads will no longer be on TV and youtube now.

Displays for iPhone 5

Reports say that the displays for next generation of iPhones will be manufactured by LG Display. It is also being claimed that these displays measure 4 inches diagonally and in cell technology will be used in these displays to embed touch sensors into these displays.

Earlier there was a report where the President of Sharp announced that his company will be shipping displays for the next generation iPhones.

All in all LG and Sharp are producing displays for next generation iPhones using the in-cell touch sensor technology.

According to the latest news from iMore website, iPhone 5 is expected to be announced on September 12,2012 and it will be released on September 21,2012.

A lot of rumours about this lastest iPhone 5 is on air which includes a 4-inch, 16:9 screen, thinner and lighter.
We are yet to get news on iPhone 5 storage capacities and its pricing options.

Like everyone else, we are also eagerly waiting for this product to be launched. Updates will follow once we get more information on iPhone 5.
