iPod Touch Restore Error 1604

Sometimes when you try to sync your iPod , you may get some error and your iPod will prompt you to restore your iPod. And sometimes when you try restoring the iPod you may end up with various kind of errors and one such error alert is Unknown error 1604.

Follow the steps below to get this issue fixed:

1. If your iPod is showing USB cable and iTunes symbol, click HERE to troubleshoot it and restore the iPod in recovery mode.

2. If your iPod does not show any USB/iTunes symbol, click HERE to restore the iPod.

3. If you are not able to restore your iPod in step 2, then try uninstalling and reinstalling the iTunes and then try to restore.

4. Try restoring the iPod in new user account in your computer.

5. Try restoring the iPod in a different computer.

i was hoping to get an answer on where to take my ipod to get it looked at or fixed. the apple store cost 150.00 for repair. thats insane! ANY OTHER PLACES TO GET IT FIXED? I have an ipod touch first generation that continues to be frozen to a black screen. nothing has worked. it has been taken care of no damage. thanks for any imput

As your iPod is beyond the Apples !year limited warranty coverage and you have already tried all the troubleshooting steps, then all we can suggest you is to take this iPod to the place from where you must have purchased it and they may have coverage for it and they may help you get it fixed. Thanks
