iPod Touch, unable to restore, Unknown Error Codes

iPod Touch : Restore Error 1611 - Get it fixed now!

Sometimes when you try to restore your iPod with iTunes, you will face some issues and one such issue is error 1611. Try the steps below to get this issue fixed.

1. Restore your iPod using the steps given here.

2. Try putting your iPod in recovery mode and then try restoring it. Follow steps given here to recovery and restore.

3. Try quitting your iTunes and change the USB ports and then try again.

4. Try restoring on a new user account or on a different computer which has iTunes 8.0 or later.

i have tried to fix my ipod on the computer but all the tiime it comes up with error 28 when tring to restore it

One of my iod touchs has error 28 too. I have not found a solution, and I tried everything (itunes 7, 8, 9, ireb, winpwn...)

okay so my ipod hasnt been recoqnised by my computer for a while now, something about driver software? so I tried to restore to factory settings from the general menu on the actual ipod. i stopped it in the middle of restoration and it told me i needed to connect it to itunes, i did now it says it needs to be restored. but when i click the restore button in itunes it comes up with an 1611 error. HELP!

I have done every thing possipble to restore my Ipod I have an error message of 1611 and I do not know how to make my ports 80 and 440 open to conect with apple company.

Hello, last week i tried putting music on my friends ipod which i have done many times before but this one time it said i needed to restore the ipod. The ipod became bricked and would not restore and unknown error 1611 came up. I gave the ipod back to my friend and he was able to restore it on his home computer. Now he has given it back to me because he had no music and it said i needed to restore the ipod again, so again i tried and still 1611 came up. someone please help. my friend is getting mad

i have error code 1611 and nothing works my ipod is completely stuck on the connect usb/itunes screen and will turn off then back onto that, i need help, please someone help. it is constantly in recovery mode and when i connect to itunes it comes up retore and i try then error code 1611 comes up :/ its so annoying !!!

Error 1611 Ipod Touch 3Gen, hello my ipod touch has been brick or past few days, i have tried everything on youtube and on the web. I also tried the info provided on apple website

My ipod touch is in recovery mode. It wont restore. It tells me error 2009. I've tried google and all the other sites, no one has been able to help me. I cant do anything with it untell i can restore it.

My ipod got stuk on dfu mode a couple of times, and when i restore it it says error 1611... what worx is that i can restore it on another computer... then plug it into ur computer and it will show up as a new ipod and ask if u wanna bak it up... DO NOT BACK IT UP... backing it up means it will give u all the same things that were on ur ipod b4 it messed up... so when u plug it in after the restore set it up as a new ipod... Hope it worx for u guys

My iPod kept showing error 1618 everytime I would try to restore it. It says it is in recovery mode and i can not get it out recovery mode. It now show error 1611. HELP?

My ipod touch 4th generation was not being recognized on my computerr and I found somewhere on line to put it into recovery mode. It showed up in itunes and told me I had to restore it.... i've tried it like 12 times and every time I get error code 1611. I followed the link in the meesage and I've tried everything, so now i can't get out of recovery mode! HELP!!!!

i fixed my ipod from, The iPod could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1611)
i used different pc win xp with first time ITUNE installed now my ipod is working

Hi, our iPod touch 32g 4th gen is showing a picture of a usb port going into an iTunes icon. We have tried everything possible to reboot it through iTunes and we keep getting error code 9. It starts to restore and then always give us error 9 at the end. We have disabled the anti-virus, tried all the usb ports on the PC, restarted, pushed both buttons at once, etc. We get a white apple logo for a few seconds each time and then it defaults back to the usb picture. After disconnecting it from the computer it goes black. The windows drivers finds it and installs the driver. We have taken it to the genius bar and they get the same error code. We have alsio got codes 2005, 1034.

Hi, I try to sync my ipod touch to itunes, it does get recognized, but when I first plug it in, it says that its in recovery mode and needs to be restored. i click restore, and erro 1611 comes up. Ive tried everything, HELP ME PLEEASE! (its also my friends ipod, she gave it to me, so should I try to restore it on her computer??) reply please!!
